Typical Visit

What to Expect

A typical visit from a Thrive Healthcare clinician will
last around 30 minutes to 1 hour. The clinician will call
you in advance and schedule a time to come to your
home. The clinician will follow your Plan of Care. You
should feel comfortable asking the clinician any
questions about the care you are recieving.

The First Visit

The first visit will be one of the longer visits, and will usually last more than 1 hour. On the first visit our clinician will give you paperwork that explains all your rights as a patient and information about the services that will be provided.

The first visit will also include a comprehensive assessment by the clinician so that we can get a full picture of your needs. This helps us design a Plan of Care that is tailored to you as an individual. If there are family members or caregivers involved in your care, they may be present as well.

Shift Care

If you need more care than typical Home Health visits and you are looking for shift care (i.e. you need someone from 9am-5pm or a set schedule tailored to your needs ).We can provide you with resources based on your unique situation. Typically, shift care is provided by a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or an experienced caregiver. Shift care is not covered by most insurance policies. If you believe you need shift care, call us, and we are happy to discuss the options with you.
